GRC eLearning receives information security and cyber security training provider certification

Ely, United Kingdom, 29 July 2019 – GRC eLearning, a leading provider of staff awareness e-learning courses focused on cyber compliance and data privacy, is pleased to announce that it has become a Government Certified Training (GCT) provider for its Information Security and Cyber Security Staff Awareness E-learning Course.

The GCT scheme, administered by APMG International, offers individuals and organisations guidance on the top-quality cyber security training providers. APMG International is the independent certification body for training courses approved by the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) – one of the UK’s three intelligence and security agencies.

GRC eLearning has been certified as a GCT provider for our Information Security and Cyber Security training course:

  • Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Geraint Williams was approved on 8 July 2019 under the terms of the scheme to act as a facilitator for the Information Security and Cyber Security Staff Awareness E-learning Course.
  • GCT course material for the course was assessed and certified by APMG International on 4 July 2019.
  • APMG International confirmed that because of GRC International Group’s structure and common quality management system shared by all Group companies, including sister company IT Governance, all Group companies are free to market this certified course.

Chris Hanwell, managing executive of GRC eLearning, said: “The GCHQ certification is great news for the GRC eLearning team as well as the Group. We pride ourselves on having helped professionals as well as companies tackle their information and cyber security challenges for many years, and this certification reinforces the positive feedback we have received so far.

“With data breaches occurring regularly and the increasing complexity of cyber risks still on the horizon, the demand for cyber security skills and expertise is greater than ever. GRC eLearning hopes that becoming one of the few training providers certified via this scheme in the UK will facilitate a wider reach to meet this demand and contribute to a more ‘secure’ cyberspace.”

The aim of the GCT scheme is to evaluate the best trainers, course material and administrative processes that high-quality training providers have to offer and facilitate a smooth and confident decision-making process for those seeking to further their information, security and cyber security knowledge.

With this industry-leading stamp of approval for the Information Security and Cyber Security Staff Awareness E-learning Course, GRC eLearning can continue to provide a comprehensive portfolio of e-learning solutions, supporting the important role that staff awareness plays in security and compliance.

The e-learning courses are available in the form of a one-year licence, which can be either individual or corporate, depending on the number of users required, and are hosted on GRC eLearning’s learning management system. Certain courses can be bespoke, offering a variety of customisation options to suit the client’s needs.
